WWE NIXED PLAN TO ADD MORE MEMBERS TO DX

Throughout its history, WWE has had many memorable factions. However, few have reached the same level of popularity as D-Generation X (DX). That being said, there was a time when WWE had plans to add Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, collectively known as the Hardy Boyz, to the DX faction.

During a recent episode of his podcast, "Extreme Life of Matt Hardy," the wrestler revealed that WWE had proposed the idea to him and his brother back in 1998, during the peak of the faction's success. The idea, pitched by Vince Russo, involved the Hardy Boyz pledging allegiance to DX and potentially becoming their lackeys.

Matt Hardy explained that they had even begun incorporating the DX hand sign into their ring entrance, signaling their willingness to join the faction. However, after several weeks of this, WWE ultimately decided against the idea and the plan was scrapped.

Although the Hardy Boyz never became members of DX, they did have the opportunity to face off against the faction in the ring. Today, with members of DX now occupying high-level positions within WWE and the Hardy Boyz under contract with Tony Khan's company, the chances of such a crossover occurring seem slim to none.

In conclusion, while WWE fans may never get to see the Hardy Boyz join DX, the fact that the idea was even proposed shows just how influential the faction was during its prime.
