Tennessee's MEMPHIS — At Graceland in Memphis, the place where her father, Elvis Presley, lived, a public memorial service for Lisa Marie Presley was held on Sunday at nine in the morning.
Priscilla Presley, the mother of Lisa Marie Presley, spoke at the event and shared her memories. The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, and Jerry Schilling, Lisa Marie's former manager, both spoke at the service.
During the funeral, Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses, Alanis Morrissette, and Billy Corgan, the lead vocalist of The Smashing Pumpkins, all sung solemn odes to Presley.
Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12 at the age of 54 following a hospitalization for a medical emergency.
Ben Keough, Lisa Marie Presley's 2020-deceased son, will be buried close to her. Elvis Presley is one of several family members who are buried at Graceland.
Although she was born in Memphis, Lisa Marie did not reside there. She nevertheless made travels to Memphis for the events marking her father's birthday and his passing, which shocked the world when he was discovered dead in Graceland at age 42 on August 16, 1977.
Presley did receive a medical examination by the Medical Examiner on January 14, 2023, the L.A. County Coroner verified to ABC News. Her cause of death is being held up until toxicology results, according to the coroner.
